Art Montague - Author & Freelance Writer
I am a Canadian writer living in Ottawa, Canada's beautiful capital city, for the past twenty-two years. The links at the top of this column will take you to selections from my published work since 2000, the year I left my "day job" and started writing full-time.
My non-fiction includes four popular histories in the Amazing Stories series; a different sort of travel guide called The Ottawa Book of Everything which achieved bestseller status in Canada; and about 200 feature articles and essays in print and Internet publications. I am available for short assignments or long term contracts, depending on your needs and my work schedule. I always welcome a challenge.
Writing fiction has brought me credits and much personal enjoyment. “Momma’s Boarding House” was nominated for an Edgar Award in 2004 by Futures Mysterious Anthology Magazine (FMAM). “Gourmet Takeout” appears in Hardbroiled, a collection of food-related mysteries published by H.B. Ebencourt & Co. (2003). “Busted” may be found in Kerlak Publishing’s Short Attention Span Mysteries (2005), and last but not least, my crime caper,
