Art Montague - Author & Freelance Writer
I 'm a Canadian writer living in Ottawa, Canada's capital city, for the past twenty-two years. The links at the top of this column will take you to selections from my published work since 2000, the year I left my "day job" and started writing full-time.
My non-fiction includes four popular histories in the Amazing Stories series -- soon to be five; writing and editing of a different sort of travel guide called The Ottawa Book of Everything ; and about 200 feature articles and essays in print and Internet publications.
Writing fiction has brought me credits and personal enjoyment. “Momma’s Boarding House” was nominated for an Edgar Award in 2004 by Futures Mysterious Anthology Magazine (FMAM). “Gourmet Takeout” appears in Hardbroiled, a collection of food-related mysteries published by H.B. Ebencourt & Co. (2003). “Busted” is found in Kerlak Publishing’s Short Attention Span Mysteries (2005), and my crime caper novella, The Family Planck , may be purchased and downloaded at Kindle.
